Symposium "Regional Floods: Regional effects of changes in the river system"
In October 2015 the Flood Change Team of the Technical University of Vienna organised a Symposium with the aim to discuss the the effects of changes in the river system on the flood regime at a regional scale.
During the Symposium the following topics were covered:
- Effects of regional river morphology changes on the flood regime
- Effects of changes in spatial interdependencies (precipitation, routing) on the flood regime
- Upscaling the effects of river works (reservoirs, levees, river straightening) on the flood regime
- Detection, attribution of flood changes to river system changes and renaturalisation of flood flows
Please find the program of the symposium here.
